The Swedish director, Josef Fares, made this movies about Zozo from Lebanon, trying to escape the civil war in the late 1980'ies. I did a lot of
work for this film, but as the editing went on, the mount of VFX changed and also the character of it. So it ended up being just 2 or 3
matte paintings for me.

One of the mattes. Bayreuth as it would have been during the civil war. Zozo is walking past us as the camera travels with him. I partly painted
it out of focus, since the plate was out of focus, too. It was painted and animated in 3 layers. Got away with the lack of change in perspective
because of the distance between Zozo and the nearest houses. I also added 2D smoke elements and a lonely CGI truck crossing the bridge in the middle.
